Nature and Science Museum

We took the kids to the Nature and Science Museum at Fair Park and they loved it. Knowing Ethan, you would not be surprised at his fascination with how things work and the "ball machine" was his favorite. Rachel got a kick out of making huge bubbles. The museum is very hands on and Ethan and Rachel are already asking when they can go back.

Rain Forest Cafe

This was Ethan and Rachel's first visit to the Rain Forest Cafe. I think the dessert was their favorite part. Chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream with a sparkler on top, what kid wouldn't love that! Ethan picked out an animal from the build-a-bear workshop, he named his giraffe, Spot.

Ethan loves to ride the four wheeler, he is such a precise driver. Rachel finally decided to take it for a spin after watching her brother do it a few times.

Very patient...

Ethan and Rachel were very patient kiddos while Jason and I packed the truck. They were only left with the portable DVD player and water, how mean! Luckily we got a lot of help from our life saving neighbors, the Wall's, and Ethan and Rachel's favorite babysitter McKenna, or as they call her "Ms. Kenna".

We've only just begun!

After deciding to do a FULL DITY (Do it Yourself) with a 26 foot Penske diesel truck and an 8 foot trailer in our possession the packing has started. It took us 4 days to load all 14,000 pounds of our "stuff" (furniture, appliances, tools, clothes, etc.) What a J-O-B that was! It was a very unsettling feeling knowing all of our possessions were on wheels. After packing everything our long road trip down south began and 25 hours of driving later we arrived in Mississippi; via overnights in Sioux City, Kansas City, and Memphis. Needless to say, this will be our first and last FULL DITY.
After unloading our things we headed to TX for 3 weeks to spend time with family.
