Ethan's Last Day of PSN!

Well, today was pretty emotional for many; it was Ethan's last day of Preschool. He made so many friends and I don't think the reality of us moving has really made sense to him yet in that we won't be coming back. All the teachers have played such an influential role in Ethan's development over the past 2 years. Thank you to all of you who are so dedicated in making a difference in little ones lives. You will all be missed dearly. Last and certainly not least, is Ethan's bus driver, Natalie. I know we will never have another bus driver like her, it's going to be very difficult adjusting to Ethan's future bus driver's because we were very spoiled by Natalie. I know Rachel will miss running out and giving her a kiss and hug (only to get candy everytime) :-)
Now it's time to get ready for the next chapter, KINDERGARTEN!

SPLASHERS

The indoor water park would have to be Ethan and Rachel's favorite thing to do in North Dakota. It is the neatest idea having a water park inside, not like Grand Forks has an option considering snow is on the ground 6-7 months out of the year. Spalshers will be missed very much because where we are headed all the water parks are outside and that brings with it lots of heat and sunblock.

Our Little Princess is 4!

Pawpaw and Nana made it and we finally celebrated Rachel's birthday! With all the princess attire and accessories, Rachel loved it! Even Pawpaw and Ethan were digging the star sunglasses and wands.

Spring Dance Recital!

Tonight was Rachel's spring dance recital, she was so excited. She loves dancing and enjoyed watching all the other performances too. Ms. Jenny is the most awesome dance teacher ever, we will miss her so much.

Happy Birthday Rachel!

Well, needless to say Rachel's birthday did NOT go as planned. Jason and I both woke up sick, we sent the kids to the CDC because neither one of us could function. My neighbor wound up taking me to the hospital to be treated for severe dehydration. I felt so bad that we couldn't celebrate the day with Rachel but we will make up for it next week when Pawpaw and Nana get here. Check back for pictures then.

Determined!

determination
As most of you know I was training for the Fargo marathon. I had the most awesome training partner and I highly doubt I will ever find one to replace her. I so wish I could be crossing that finish line with her on Saturday. That goal (running a marathon) unfortunately came to an end about 2 months ago when I stress fractured my ankle. So, there's the update on the marathon training. I have had a few curve balls thrown at me over the past few months. Back in December I had an emergency appendectomy, in March I broke my ankle, and most recently I just went to the hospital for severe dehydration from a virus. Having said all that, I am determined to get back on the running trails again and hopefully finish some type of race this year. My sites are now set on a triathlon in September, and hopefully a marathon in December. I am determinded to make 30 a memorable year yet, as far as physical training goes.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

FINALLY, nice weather in ND, and what better than on Mother's day. We went to church this morning and the pastor gave an awesome sermon, what a way to start the day. Ethan and Rachel made me some gifts in Sunday school. Ethan is wearing the crown he made me and Rachel is holding the flower that she planted for me. They both said the gifts were for me but wanted to play with them first, hahaha.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all you mommy's out there!

Are you serious?!

Okay, so winter is getting a little bit on the ridiculous side up here in ND. It is May 10, not December 10. It is snowing and still coming down. I planned on having a garage sale this morning and thought I would be totally safe from the weather planning it the second weekend in May, ha, mother nature is laughing at me. I just keep telling myself the countdown is on to much warmer weather.

Head Start Last Day!

Today was Rachel's last day of Head Start (Preschool). The class entertained us by doing a cute program with lots of singing. In Rachel's words, "I am going to miss all my classmates very much, but I'm moving to the beach and that's going to be fun."

Spring School Pictures

Spring school pictures are in, and oh what camera hams I have for children. For those of you that know Ethan, this is soooo not a typical pose for him. I love the picture, it just cracks me up. Rachel, well if it weren't for her cheeks we would be able to see her eyes...hahaha...too cute, what a pose.

Daddy Daughter Dance

Rachel got to enjoy a night out with her Prince, a.k.a. daddy. They enjoyed an evening of dancing, dinner, and pictures. She also came home with a huge smile and a bag full of goodies. She is ready for the next one even though we might have to make up our own.

CHANGE!

Okay, so here it is, the new do! My hair is gone. For all of you that asked, yes it was very hard to watch so much hair being chopped off.
