Dance Recital

Rachel had her first dance recital tonight. She did so well! I had to drag her out of the auditorium because she wanted to go back up on stage and do her routines again and again and again, as she put it. So, needless to say we will be signing up for spring dance classes and there will be another recital sometime in April, but not soon enough for Rachel.

30 Club

Jason managed to pull off a pretty big surprise birthday party for me, totally impressed. It was just what this Texas girl needed: Dinner at TX Roadhouse with awesome friends (even though none of you are from TX...hahaha) and to top it off I was made to sit on a saddle while everyone sang happy birthday. THANKS for that totally embarassing moment! The only thing that could have made the night any better was TX weather, I know, wishful thinking.

Gingerbread House

Ethan and Rachel are so proud of their gingerbread houses! What a work of art! This was suppose to be Rachel's Family Day project at school but instead she was sent home with a fever and 2 houses to make. Ethan was happy about that because he got to make one too.

Happy Cavities!

Well, we attempted trick or treating this year and made it to 4 houses before Ethan and Rachel wanted to come back home. Jason has missed the past 2 halloweens because he was deployed, so this year's halloween was a little extra special. Ethan and Rachel had more fun sitting on the porch eating candy and passing it out than they did collecting it. The weather this year was far better than last year's trick or treating in the snow, still chilly but no snow.

October is here!

October is here which means colder weather and possible snow for those of us who live in North Dakota. It is also a beautiful time of the year with the changing color of leaves and pumpkin patches all around. Everything seems to go so fast once October starts because Thanksgiving and Christmas are just around the corner. Happy Fall everyone!

HIGH FLIGHT

Jason and I had the opportunity to attend High Flight at Scott AFB. It was a wonderful experience and we thoroughly enjoyed everything the course offered. It's not everyday that you get to speak casually with Generals and have their undivided attention when asking them a question. We met some awesome people, who hopefully we will see again in our small Air Force family.

School Time

Summer is over and the fall weather is rolling in. Ethan and Rachel will both be in preschool this year. Rachel is so excited to be going to school like her big brother; today was her first day. Wow, how time flies!
