Well, Ethan's teeth have been a problem ever since he had his intestinal issues. Long story short, his teeth didn't develop strong enough and some of them have been crowned and now he has had his first pulled tooth. A filling had too much decay underneath and the damage was to the root. Yes, it was very painful for Ethan but he did great. There is a spacer in place to keep room for his adult tooth to come in. Let's all hope his adult teeth did not suffer any damage from his earlier struggles like his baby teeth. I asked Ethan if he wanted to keep the tooth or if he wanted to see how much money the tooth fairy would give him. Ethan and Rachel have somehow come up with the idea that tooth fairies use their teeth to build their houses, I have no idea where that came from. Ethan said even though he knew the tooth fairy could use his big tooth to make a big house, he really wanted to keep it because he was really upset that it had to be pulled. I told him the tooth fairy would understand.

GEEZ.....that thing is HUGE! Poor Ethan. Way to take it like a champ!
Oh man! Tell Ethan that Ivan just had FOUR pulled out at once (yep, not fun AT ALL). Poor kid - that just stinks! I didn't realize that his teeth had been affected like that. Maybe the toothfairy can build her foundation off of that big one! Tough kiddo... btw, Grant STILL talks about Ethan's light up t-shoes and wants some like them... that was a long time ago when we evacuated and he was running around our hotel room in those things. :)
